Rajasthan International Folk Festival (RIFF)The Rajasthan International folk festival (RIFF) is India's first annual folk festival which celebrates the traditional Folk Music and Arts. The festival is organized to offer an open platform to all the musicians and folk artist from India and around the world. More than 250 musicians and art performers from Rajasthan, India and Overseas get together and celebrate the traditional folk music and art heritage, creating innovative collaborations with an exciting fusion of International and Indian Folk Music accompanied by exciting performances. The RIFF Jodhpur organizes a series of programs, concerts and events based in and around Mehrangarh Fort.

Morning after breakfast proceed for Agra via Sikandra - the mausoleum of Akbar. Akbar himself started construction of this beautiful monument. This structure has a perfect blending of Hindu, Christian, Islamic, Buddhist, Jain themes. On arrival check in at hotel.
20th October (Tuesday) - Agra / Jaipur by surface 235 Kms / 5 hrs approx 
Early morning take a breathtaking view of Taj Mahal. It was built in 1630 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. After breakfast proceed for Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the old Mughal capital (40 kilometers) from Agra. This magnificent fortified city was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and became the capital of Mughal India for 15 years. On arrival check in at hotel.

21st October (Wednesday) - In Jaipur
Morning after breakfast proceed for excursion to Amber Fort on elephant back. The fort was completed in 1592 by Raja Man Singh and is a true example of Rajput architecture. Proceed to city palace which has a wonderful collection of Rajput heritage such as weapons, enamel ware, carpets and art items. Then move to the observatory and finally drive past Hawa Mahal.

Shri Amarnath Yatra 01

Kashmir is a beautiful blend of history, mythology and legends in the background of paradise. The Vally's first majestic monument came up in the 7th and 8th century-the sun temple of Martand- one of the first monuments to set the style for the Valley's Hindu architecture.

There are the distinctly Greek influence stone temples of Avantipur, the cave of Amarnath set high in the mountains, which is one of the most sacred shrines of the Hindus.

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi and check in at hotel. After lunch at hotel, half-day sightseeing tour of Delhi, visiting Laxmi Narayan Temple, Hanuman Mandir and India Gate. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi - Srinagar
Early morning, depart for airport to board flight for Srinagar. Set against the back-drop of the beautiful Dal Lake, Srinagar is a quaint city and whirl of activity. On arrival, check-in at deluxe house-boat in the Dal Lake. Afternoon, city tour of Srinagar, visiting Mughal Gardens-Chashma Shahi, Nishat and Shalimar Gardens. Day 03 : Srinagar - Pahalgam (95kms / 3¾ hrs)
After breakfast, leave Srinagar for Pahalgam by surface. Pahalgam, 7000 ft above sea level, unspoilt beauty of the landscape and the dancing snow-fed streams that about in trout of this little village. On arrival, check-in hotel. After lunch, sight-seeing of Pahalgam. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 04 : Pahalgam - Amarnath
After breakfast, start on foot for the Yatra to Amarnath carrying packed lunch, 45 kms from Pahalgam and situated at a height of 3800 m in the upper reaches of Himalaya. Dinner and overnight in tents.

This truly is the most remarkable way of seeing Northern India. The discovery begins in the grandeur of Delhi with its imperial buildings and tree lined avenues, before travelling to Lucknow, scene of the great siege of 1857. We continue our journey with the spiritual aspects of India, visiting Varanasi, situated on the banks of the holy river Ganges, Khajuraho with its wonderful carvings, and Orchha steeped in Bundela architecture. By train to Agra, where our two visits to the Taj Mahal allow us to see the many faces of this magical monument, We head west to The 'Pink City' of Jaipur via the bird sanctuary at Bharatpur, one of Asia's leading bird sanctuaries, and a must for any ornithologist. In Jodhpur the ancient streets cluster around the magnificent Meherangarh Fort, and while staying in the small village of Luni we enjoy the contrasts of village India. After driving through some of Rajasthan's most scenic and dramatic landscapes we arrive in Udaipur, with its incomparably romantic surroundings. To Bombay, where the bustle is a marked contrast to the serenity of rural India, and impressive gothic architecture stands juxtaposed with the sights and sounds that capture the essence of India.

Arrive Varanasi in the morning. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Afternoon visit Sarnath, near Varanasi is the place where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon. Evening watch “Aarti” at River Ganges. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04 : Varanasi
Early morning boat ride on river Ganges to see the Bathing & Cremation Ghats. Come back for the breakfast at hotel. Later leave for city tour of Varanasi visiting Bharat Mata temple, Tulsi Manas, Banaras Hindu University etc. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05 : Varanasi - Khajuraho
Morning free for leisure. Later transfer to the Airport to connect flight for Khajuraho. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Later visit the famous erotic temples of Khajuraho built between AD 950 and 1050 by the kings of the Chandela, the site originally possessed 85 temples, of which 20 are still reasonably preserved. The temples are best known for the erotic friezes on their walls.

Day 06 : Khajuraho - Orchha - Jhansi - Agra
Morning free for own activities. Later drive to Jhansi (approx 170 kms / 5 hrs). Enroute visit Orchha Temples, the 16th Century temples well know for its art works. Upon arrival connect train # 2001 New Delhi Shatabdi Express dep. at 17:56 hrs arrive Agra at 20:25 hrs. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Drive to Konark (56 kms. / 11/2 Hrs.) and visit the famous Konark Sun temple built by the King Langula Narasimha Deva in 13 century A.D. These temples showcase the art, architecture and sculpture of Orissa. Proceed to Purl (60 Kms. / 11/2 Hrs.) where you check, into the hotel. Overnight stay at the Hotel. 
Day 04 : Puri

» Ranthambore : Ranthambore is a dry deciduous forest with rocky hill crests and open valleys dotted with water pools and fruit trees. The one thousand year old Ranthambore fortress looms above the forest. The park is home to the Sambar deer, nilgai, wild boar, bear and variety of birds including the partridge, green pigeon and red spur fowl.

Then visit the Agra Fort -a red sandstone fort built by Akber in 1565. Later, drive to Jaipur (232 kms. / approx. 5 hrs. drive) enroute visit Fatehpur Sikhri - the old capital of Mughals. Day 06 : Agra - Varanasi.
Morning city tour of Agra and then drive to Agra Railway Station & connect the overnight train for Varanasi. Overnight in Train.

Day 07 : Varanasi.
Arrive Varanasi. Transfer to hotel. Varanasi is also known by its ancient name Kashi and is the most important place for pilgrim for Hindus. Sightseeing tour includes visit to the Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas and the Banaras Hindu University. Later visit the Sarnath, the buried Buddhist City where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon.

Day 08 : Varanasi - Delhi.
Morning boat ride on river Ganges. Afternoon connect the overnight train for Delhi. Overnight in train.

Day 09 : Delhi.
Arrival Delhi. Day free for own activities. Evening departure transfer to airport to connect flight for onward destination.

Sravasti is situated in Gonda district in eastern Uttar Pradesh called Sahet-Mahet. In Sravasti we visit the famous monastery where Lord Buddha spent 24 rainy seasons preaching.

After breakfast full day tour of Ajanta caves: Hewn out of rocks richly sculptured and with walls ceilings and pillars adomed with fresco paintings depict the life of Buddha. Day 04 : Aurangabad - Shirdi

Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour 02

Day 04 : Sravasti - Kushinagar (about 380 km)
Today in the morning drive from Sravasti to Kushinagar. Kushinagar is the place that the Buddha chose for his Mahaparinirvana, or final exit from this earth. Kushinagar or Kushinara as it was then known was the capital of the Malla Republic, one of the republican states of northern India during the 6th and 5th centuries BC. There are several new monasteries and temples. Today we visit the Rambhar Stupa that marks Buddha's cremation ground. Mahakashyapa lit the funeral prayer at Mukutabandha Vihara (Rambhar Stupa) in Kushinagar. Today not much remains of this stupa except a large brick mount rising to a height of almost 15 metres set within a well-kept park. We also visit the large Burmese Chandramani Bhikshu Bharamasala. This is the oldest monastery in Kushinagar. We will also visit the Kushinagar Museum.

Day 05 : Kushinagar - Patna (about 253 km)
In the morning after having breakfast we drive further to Patna. Patna, the was thriving township ancient Indian town of Pataliputra was thriving townshipduring the Buddha's lifetime. Patna, the state capital of Bihar is situated on the banks of the Ganga. It is the major entry point for pilgrims who wish to travel in the footsteps of the Buddha. Today we will drive to Kumrahar to see the ruins of Pataliputra which is about 6 km from Gandhi Maidan. The remains of a massive assembly hall with bases of 80 pillars have been excavated at the site, of which only one pillar remains intact.

Day 06 : Patna
Today after having breakfast we have sightseeing in Patna. Today we visit Patna Sahib,The British Museum, Golghar, Patna established the Patna Museum in the year 1917. This museum has more than 50,000 rare and valuable antiquities and art objects. The most prized possession here is the Holy Relic Casket containing the sacred ashes of the Buddha, unearthed in Vaishali. Golhar is a mammoth concrete granary built by the British, subsequent to the great famine of 1770. Two spiral staircases from either side lead to the top, which affords a panoramic view of the Ganga and the town. Gurudwara Har Mandir Sahib, popularly known as Patna Sahib is the sacred shrine of the Sikhs. The site is hallowed as the birthplace of the 10th Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh. Between Patna Sahib is Gulzarbagh, where the opium factory and the storehouses of the British were located. It now houses the Government Printing Press.

Day 07 : Patna - Nalanda - Rajgir (about 100 km)
In the morning after having breakfast we drive to Rajgir. Enroute we visit Nalanda, the ancient Buddhist University. During the lifetime of the Buddha Rajgir (Rajgriha) was the capital of the powerful Magadhan Kingdom, ruled by the virtuous king Bimbisara. Rajgir is about 100 km from Patna. This town attracts various pilgrims and tourists. The town also boasts the largest number of horse drawn carriages. Today we will visit the Vishwa Shanti Stupa. It is a marble structure with niches bearing golden images of the Buddha, built by the Nipponza Myohoji sect of Japan. Opposite the Stupa stands the Saddharma Buddha Vihara. Then we will drive further to Griddhakuta. The strange rock protrusion resembling a vulture's beak probably gave the hill its name. In the rock cut caves here the Buddha spent many rainy seasons, meditating and preaching. Rajgir is also famous for its seven hot Sulphur Springs, Satadhara. Satadhara is situated at the foot of Vaibhava Hill. The hot springs are a part of the Lakshmi Narayan Temple complex.

Day 03 : Bhubaneshwar - Konark - Puri
Drive to Konark (56 kms. / 11/2 Hrs.) and visit the famous Konark Sun temple built by the King Langula Narasimha Deva in 13 century A.D. These temples showcase the art, architecture and sculpture of Orissa. Proceed to Purl (60 Kms. / 11/2 Hrs.) where you check, into the hotel. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 01 : Flight to India (New Delhi)
You arrive in Delhi by international flight. After a traditional 'Swagat' (welcome) our representatives would assist to our hotel for check in and overnight stay.

Day 02 : New Delhi - Lucknow (by train) 
This morning city tour of old and New Delhi. In the afternoon we will drive to the railway station for the train to Lucknow. Overnight in Train.
Day 03 : Lucknow - Sravasti (about 170 km) 
Upon arrival in Lucknow, we will drive further to Sravasti. Sravasti (ancient Savatthi) was the capital of Kosala Mahajanapada and was the biggest town in the Gangetic plains during the Buddha's lifetime. Sravasti was host to the Master for 25 year during the annual vassavasa (rain retreat) when the Sangha congregated at one place. Sravasti is situated in Gonda district in eastern Uttar Pradesh called Sahet-Mahet. In Sravasti we visit the famous monastery where Lord Buddha spent 24 rainy seasons preaching.

Day 04 : Sravasti - Kushinagar (about 380 km)
Today in the morning drive from Sravasti to Kushinagar. Kushinagar is the place that the Buddha chose for his Mahaparinirvana, or final exit from this earth. According to the Indian chronicles, Varanasi was established as a city around twelve hundred years ago before the Christian era.

In the early morning we take boat -ride on the holy River Ganges and enjoy sunrise on the boat. Ghats (flight of steps) and the activities of pilgrims on that, are the principal attraction for visitors to Varanasi.
Day 11 : Varanasi - New Delhi (by air)
In the afternoon we drive to the airport for the flight out from Varanasi to New Delhi. In New Delhi we have rest of the day at leisure.

Day 08 : Rajgir -Bodhgaya (about 70 km)
In the morning after having breakfast we drive to Bodhgaya. Bodhgaya (once Uruvela village) is the place where 2500 years ago in the 6th century BC, a young ascetic, Siddhartha attained enlightenment to become the Buddha and found Buddhism one of the world's oldest religions. Bodhgaya is the spiritual home of the Buddhists. Today we visit the Mahabodhi temple built to mark the spot where the Buddha attained enlightenment. The famous Mahabodhi temple, which stands in the centre of the Mahabodhi Temple complex has been restored and rebuilt over the centuries. The Mahabodhi Temple Complex houses all the major pilgrimage spots. A large circular stone with the Buddha's footprints is kept in a small shrine on the left. We also visit the Bodhgaya museum that is located near the Mahabodhi temple. It houses antiquities excavated in and around Bodhgaya. It has a large collection of Buddhist and Hindu relies (terra cotta) seals, scriptures and pillars from the Sunga period.

In the afternoon we drive to the airport for the flight out from Varanasi to New Delhi. In New Delhi we have rest of the day at leisure. Rooms are available to get fresh and change before we depart to the airport with our representative.

Kushinagar is the place where Buddha passed into Maha-Parinirvana. Afternoon visit Kushinagar the various stupas and temples. Overnight at hotel. 

Day 09 : Kushinagar - Lumbini - Sravasti

A Dip In The Hemkund Sarovar

Hemkund is surround by seven snow covered peaks and their reflection in the bluish-green water is a picture to behold. The lake is a great pilgrimage place for the Sikhs. In the Guru Granath Sahib. Guru Govind Singh made a reference that in one of his previous births he had mediated on the shores of a lake which was surrounded by seven snow covered peaks. In 1930, Havildar Sohan Singh discovered this lake, and identified it with the one referred t in the Guru Granth Sahibji. 
Day 01 : Arrive Delhi 
On arrival, assistance and transfer to hotel. After lunch, half-day visit to Gurdwaras Sisganj, BangIa Sahib and Rakab Ganj. Dinner and overnight at hotel. 

Day 02 : Delhi - Rishikesh (230kms/6hrs)
After breakfast, drive by car/coach to Rishikesh. Check-in and lunch at hotel. Visit the Laxman Jhoola, Muni-Ki-Reti and the local Gurdwara. Dinner and overnight at hotel. 

Day 03 : Rishikesh - Joshimath (290kms/10hrs) 
After breakfast and a short visit to Gurdwara, drive by car/coach to Joshimath, lunch enroute. Dinner and stay at Tourist Rest House. 

Day 04 : Joshimath - Gobindghati - Ghangariya 
After breakfast, drive by car/coach to Gobindghat (18kms/l hrs), situated near the confluence of roaring Laxman Ganga and Alaknanda rivers called Vishnu Prayag. Lunch at gurdwara. A 14kms trek us to Ghangariya, the base camp for Hemkund Sahib. Dinner and overnight at Tourist Rest House. 

Day 05 : Ghangariay - Hemkund Sahib - Ghangariya 
After breakfast, treak to Hemkund Sahib, 4239m above sea-level (5kms/3hrs). Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth guru of Sikhs, is believed to have mediated here in his previous birth. A gurdwara stands here in his memory on the bank of a sacred lake. Return to Ghangariya for dinner and overnight stay. 
Day 06 : Ghangariya - Valley of Flowers - Ghangariya 
After breakfast, trek to Valley of Flowers (4kms/2 ½ hrs), carrying packed lunch. Explore the valley and witness the rare Himalayan flora, i.e. Brahm Kamal (Saussurea Obvalata), Himalayan Blue Poppy (Meconnopsis Aculata) and many more. Return to Ghangariya for dinner and overnight stay. 
Day 07 : Ghangariya - Gonindghat - Joshimath
After breakfast, trek down to Gobindghat. Lunch at Gobindghat and drive back by car/coach to Joshimath for dinner and overnight stay at Tourist Rest House. 

Day 08 : Joshimath - Rishikesh (290kms/10hrs) After breakfast, drive by car/coach to Rishikesh. Lunch at Shrinagar's local restaurant. Check-in, dinner and overnight at hotel. 

Day 09 : Rishikesh - Delhi (230kms/6hrs)
